General Accountant

The General Accountant will play a vital role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting processes, and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders. The General Accountant contributes to the financial stability and efficiency of the clinic by overseeing various accounting functions.

Key Reponsibilities and Accountabilities:

· Financial Transactions:
  
- Accurately record and categorize financial transactions such as income,
    expenses, and asset acquisitions.
  - Process invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring proper documentation
    and adherence to internal controls.

· Financial Reporting:
  
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including income statements
    and balance sheets.
  - Generate regular financial reports for clinic management, providing insights
    into the clinic's financial health.

· Budgeting and Forecasting:
  
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and monitor clinic
    budgets.
  - Contribute to financial forecasting by analyzing historical data and
    anticipating future financial needs.

· Reconciliation: 
  
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to
    maintain accurate financial records.
  - Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, ensuring the integrity of
    financial data.  

· Compliance:
  
- Ensure strict adherence to accounting principles, standards, and regulatory
    requirements.
  - Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and implement
    necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

· Auditing Support: 
  
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits.
  - Collaborate with auditors to provide required financial information and
    address audit findings.

· Payroll Processing:
 
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  - Reconcile payroll transactions and address any payroll-related inquiries
    from employees.

· Expense Management:
  
- Monitor and control clinic expenses, verifying compliance with budgetary
    guidelines.
  - Analyze expense reports, identify trends, and recommend cost-saving
    measures.

· Financial Analysis:
  
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for
    improvement.
  - Provide insights and recommendations to support informed financial
    decision-making.

· Documentation and Recordkeeping:
  
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation.
  - Establish and manage an efficient filing system for financial records.

· Software Utilization:
  - Utilize accounting software proficiently for efficient financial management.
  - Stay updated on software features and updates to optimize usage.

· Collaboration:
  
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to gather financial
    information and address cross-functional needs.
  - Communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

· Additional Responsibilities: Be prepared to take on other duties and
  responsibilities as assigned by the Company, its directors, or persons
  designated by the Management.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
· Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a healthcare or clinic setting.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
· Ability to communicate financial information effectively.
· Familiarity with healthcare-specific financial regulations is a plus.
