Staff Nurse

The Nurse is a vital healthcare professional responsible for conducting quick health assessments, administering medications and vaccines, assisting in minor surgical procedures, and providing aftercare. Additionally, the role involves patient interaction, including referring patients to primary and specialist doctors, addressing queries and complaints, and offering health education. The Nurse also manages administrative tasks, such as registering patients, encoding transactions, and maintaining accurate records. Collaboration with colleagues for department improvement and regular updates to the Clinic Manager on the department's status are integral aspects of the role. Overall, the Staff Nurse plays a multifaceted role in delivering comprehensive patient care and supporting the efficient operation of the clinic.

Key Reponsibilities and Accountabilities:

· Patient Assessment and Care: Conducts rapid health assessments, measures vital signs and visual acuity, administers medications and vaccines, performs skin testing, assists in appointment coordination, escorts patients to and from the doctor's room, offers basic nursing care and knowledge, participates in minor surgical procedures and emergency cases, and provides aftercare.

· Patient Interaction: Facilitates patient referrals to primary and specialist doctors, addresses patient inquiries and complaints, provides health education and clear instructions for lab/diagnostic procedures, endorses patients to other departments, registers patients in the system, and occasionally handles phone calls.

· Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintains and updates general patient data in the system, records transactions such as laboratory workups and diagnostic procedures, retrieves patient records as needed, and ensures proper documentation of cancelled transactions.

· Administrative Tasks:
Responsible for registering patient names in the system, preparing instruments for minor procedures, monitoring supplies and inventory, collaborating with co-nurses for department improvement, and providing daily updates on the department's status to the Clinic Manager.

· Doctor Assistance:
Provides the patient's chart to the doctor for consultation and prepares the doctor's room for consultations and/or physical exams.


· Additional Responsibilities: Be prepared to take on other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company, its directors, or persons designated by the Management.  

Qualifications:

· Registered Nurse or a graduate of a Nursing program.
· Demonstrates strong organizational skills and a commitment to effectively
  implement and follow company directives.
· Exhibits the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
· Maintains a high standard of cleanliness in all assigned tasks and practices good
  personal hygiene.
· Performs tasks and assignments with both speed and precision.
· Maintains a positive and professional attitude towards work, clients, colleagues,
  the Company, its affiliates, as well as its directors, officers, and employees.
· Approaches work with humility, embracing opportunities to learn and fulfill duties
  diligently.
· Willingness to undertake any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the
  Company, its directors, or individuals designated by the Company.
